Marine working group

The marine working group organizes lectures and excursions related to all living things that live in our oceans and waters. We pay attention to sharks, whales and exotic fish, but also to marine animals such as the seal. Pleasant meetings are held regularly. Here we discuss new ideas and the progress of existing plans.

A well-known recurring activity is the successful excursion to the Dolfinarium, where we get a look behind the scenes of veterinarian Pauline Bunskoek. A very unique experience! In addition, we occasionally travel to the northernmost tip of Groningen, where we get a tour of the Pieterburen seal center.

Because there is little to nothing about aquafauna in the veterinary curriculum, this working group offers members and students an opportunity to learn more about this subject and to get in touch with specialists within this world.  Would you like to help organize these fun activities? Then sign up quickly!
